You've got a long list of questions to ask your beauty professionals:
•Does she give free consultations? If not, what are the fees? (Note: It is common for makeup artists to charge for a consultation, but it may be worth it.)
Couture Beauty recommends that brides run through a consultation with before you schedule your trial. Consultations can be scheduled with Madeeha or Jeannie. Consultations generally are casual meetings where we go over your expectations, requirements, and specific needs for your special day.
• Does she have a portfolio of her work that you can examine?
We have an online portfolio which can be emailed to you, and hundreds of hard copy photos for you to view during your consultation or on your trial run through.
• What is her philosophy about how a bride should look on her wedding day?
Couture Beauty is a high end bridal service which goes to every length to make you and look and feel yourself, at your best, 100 times better! Everyone will remember your face in your special moment, forever.
• What does she think would work best for you? (You don't have to agree, you just have to get a sense of what she thinks is beautiful.)
We translate and do what you want – not what you want to hear. Our Artists do not take anything personally and will express to you what we think is beautiful for you on your special day.
• Will she bring her own supplies (such as makeup brushes and tweezers), or will you be responsible for having these?
All of our Artists kits are equipped and ready with our own supplies. We bring bobby pins, tweezers, brushes, safety pins, Q-tips, anything that we can anticipate needing to assist you get ready for your event.
• Will she require you to bring some of your own makeup? If so, will she be available to help you select the right colors for your eyes, lips, and cheeks?
We do not require you to bring any of your own makeup. However, you are more than welcome to bring what you’re comfortable wearing to reflect your personal style.
• How does she charge -- by hour, or by head? Does she have a group rate?
All of the rates are published on our website. We do special rates and packages catered to your specific event. All agreements are put into writing and you are emailed / faxed an invoice in advance. There is a retainer payment required in advance to book your event date.
• How many events does she do in one day? Will yours be the only one, or is there a chance she will be rushed to get to another appointment?
We stagger all bookings through out the day for all of our Artists leaving plenty of time for each client. We never double book. We never rush our services. As a matter of fact, our artists work very thoroughly ensuring you are satisfied before leaving your side!
• Do you go to her or does she come to you on the wedding day?
Couture Beauty is an on-location service. So we come to you wherever you are! There is a 20 mile courtesy traveling credit towards every event. If our Artists travel outside the 20 mile courtesy area from Zip Code 92620, then there is a .75 cents / mile fee assessed towards your invoice.
• Will she stick around to do touch-ups?
Yes, we can stick around to do touch-ups. If you have more than 1 bridal look, there is an additional fee to change your look. However, if you’re not changing your look – we give a free touch up kit which includes: lip liner, blot paper, lipstick/gloss!
• How does she work with hairstylists? Our Senior Artists are also hairstylists!
We work well with other stylists.
• Does she have a list of references that you can call? (You'll be able to get the inside info on things like promptness, attitude, and professionalism.)
We have a list of references available per your request. Don’t hesitate to ask! After you book us for your event, we send you a Client Satisfaction Survey to help us evaluate and further improve our services.
